Holiday Family Portrait Session!

I’m way behind in posting peaks at some of photo sessions from 2013….I can’t get to them all, but wanted to highlight this fun family that I have been photographing since their kids were babies.  It’s been so fun to watch them grow up and we’ve explored many fun areas to photograph.  Credits here to the owners of Murray Hill Farm who kindly let us photograph on their beautiful grounds.  We had a great time, despite some wintery winds; and even survived Jen tossing her wedding rings off her fingers while throwing some leaves in the air to get that action shot – luckily it was soon found – below you can actually see the shot where the ring flies up in the air with thousands of leaves!

It’s been a great year, both professionally and personally.  Above are a few of my personal highlights; a wonderful trip to San Francisco and Yosemite and an opportunity to photograph some beautiful sights and my favorite people.

Below are some examples of fun photographic moments: I truly love photographing all my models, be it headshots, high school seniors, friends, and families.  I’m looking forward to continuing in 2014.

Senior Session Greenspring Gardens Part Two: Dani

Dani was so much fun to photograph!  Her smile is infectuous and her enthusiasm and fun attitude may have something to do with the fact in October of her senior year, she’s already been accepted by her first college.  She rocked the bright colors which were vibrant against the Greenspring Gardens  backdrop.  Thanks for keeping the shoot lively and fun and having an amazing senior session!

Sneak Peak: Senior Session at Greenspring Gardens, Part One: Hannah

DSC6137

I had a great time photographing a senior session with Hannah and her friend Dani the other day at Greenspring Gardens in Annandale.  Who says gardens are only pretty in the spring and summer!  Beautiful flower beds and the more woodsy area with the pond and pathway gave us great diversity.  I photographed Hannah and her friend, Dani (more photos to come!) and I think they enjoyed doing it together, breaking up the shoot and taking turns and learning about each girl and the friendship they have.  Doing a “friends” shoot is definitely something I will encourage in the future.  I will even add a “friends” gallery to my website!  Right now, additional photos of this day can be seen in my “seniors” gallery.
